Swedish dream-pop trio ViVii are on hand to provide an uplifting start to 2021. ‘One Day’ came from an important post-tour moment for the band: “It started to rain and we started to chant a melody that has stuck with us since. This is the result of the ViVii chant that we always use right before we go on stage.” The glittery track is centred on this addictive melody, coated in jangly guitar chords and soothing backing vocals. The band manages to combine an appreciation for nostalgia with their own unique take on modern pop. ‘One Day’ is taken from their upcoming album, due for release in the Spring of 2021. -Dan Peeke
